A NOTE FROM OUR DIRECTOR

The opportunity to perform in a concert is an exciting, empowering and confidence-building part of the training process. This is where we love to watch our students learn about performance, rehearsals and teamwork while they enjoy the opportunity to showcase their skills in a professionally run production. Concerts are a wonderful way for students to showcase the results of their hard work and for family and friends to join in the pride of their achievement. We love giving all students the chance to perform for their family and friends in this supportive and fun environment and encourage even our youngest and newest performers to be involved.

If there is any reason why your child will not be able to perform at the concert on the dates and times provided, please let us know so we can make amendments to the class routines involving them.

Please note: that unfortunately any families with unpaid fees will not be allowed to participate in our concert.

This is without a doubt the highlight of our year and we are giddy with excitement to show you how hard our dancers have been working!

Thank you for taking the time to read all information contained on this site. It should cover any questions you have, if not, please feel free to reach out to one of our team. Hope you are all looking forward to the concert as much as we are!

Miss Lenae

ATTENDANCE & PARTICIPATION

All students participate in our End of Year Concert and students work on these routines each week in class, developing their skills in the process and learning the importance of rehearsal, commitment, performance techniques and teamwork.

In terms of attendance, it is very important that students do not miss any of their scheduled classes between now and concert time (unless they are sick an unable to attend) so they can spend their rehearsal time together to perform their routines, feel confident and look amazing. Of course, this is only if it can’t be helped and in line with studio guidelines. If for any reason your child will miss a number of their regular classes in Term 4, we ask that you contact us via email to [email protected] to let us know in advance.

RAZ STUDIOS STAFFING

All staff and volunteers engaged by Raz Studios for the annual concert are current Dance/school teachers/eductaors and all have current Working With Children Checks. Their personal expertise in student management and dance are invaluable to our concerts success and we as a community sincerely thank them for sharing their time with us. Parents are not permitted to enter the change rooms under any circumstances. Lacey Kelly will be the dressing room manager and Daniel Razbusek will be our side stage manager. Their decisions on the day will be final and shall not be entered into.

All students who are enrolled at Raz Studios and perform in the concert will receive a reward. The presentation will take place at the conclusion of the concert. This will mean that all students go home with a reward for their hard work.

EMERGENCY CONTACT DURING THE CONCERT AND ON CONCERT DAY

If there is any problem at all with your child during the concert, the dressing room manager, will contact you on your mobile phone (the first contact number on your enrolment form). If we cannot get hold of you, a runner will come and locate you in the audience. If you have an urgent issue during the concert, you may TEXT Miss Lenae on 0435 470 446. Please don’t call as we won’t be able to answer and talk but we can reply to a text message when time permits. Also, please don’t go to the changeroom as you will not be allowed entry, again this is a child protection precaution and refusal often offends.

If you need to contact Raz Studios on the day of the concert please send a text message to 0435 470 446 or a message on BAND. Due to the nature of the event we will not be able to take phone calls but a staff member will be able to respond to messages in due time.
